**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for construction project employees, including hourly and salaried staff.
- Collect and review timesheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws and project requirements.
- Enter payroll-related data into the system, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify discrepancies in payroll data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in administering employee benefits related to payroll, such as health insurance and retirement contributions.
- Maintain accurate and organized payroll records, including employee information, tax forms, and other relevant documents.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management, providing clear and concise information.
- Stay updated on relevant labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance with payroll processes.
- Collaborate with the HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues and improve processes.
- Generate payroll reports as needed for management and accounting purposes.
**Key Qualifications/Requirements**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in payroll is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive payroll information.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Team player with a positive and cooperative attitude.
