The Vice President, Merchandise Strategy & Operations is a strategic, collaborative and results driven leader who will act as a key partner to the Merchandising organization and lead the development and delivery of processes, systems, and capabilities that enable CTRs delivery of best-in-class assortments for our customers. The primary focus of this role is to set the strategic direction for our merchandising operations teams, lead the development and delivery of our merchandising capability and data governance roadmap and lead our efforts to increase enterprise/category strategy alignment by adding a customer lens to our merchandising strategy practices. This individual will be experienced in leading the delivery and integration of complex systems and capabilities, have strong strategic and operational acumen, and a track record of building positive and collaborative relationships across a broad base of stakeholders.

**What you’ll do**
- Manage a team of high performing leaders by providing leadership, coaching and development; ensure entire team is focused on driving key activity areas.
- In collaboration and close partnership with your Merchandising, Business Architecture, and IT partners - develop and operationalize strategic plans for the merchandising operations, merchandising strategy, data stewardship & governance, and capability development teams.
- Own the strategic roadmap for development of future state merchandising capabilities and lead the delivery and implementation of all merchandising capability projects within CTR.
- Lead the integration of CTCs enterprise strategy into CTRs category management framework with a focus of adding a customer lens to CTR assortment strategies.
- Work with merchandising peers to ensure strong operational performance across price competitiveness, assortment planning, and line review delivery.
- Champion continuous improvement in all merchandising operational areas including merchandising training programs and curriculum and ensure alignment to and support of future strategic direction of the merchandising organization.
- Collaborate with Data in Action team to ensure ongoing product and vendor data ownership aligns with enterprise data strategy.

**What you’ve done**
- 15+ years of experience in the retail or consumer packaged goods industry; with direct category management/merchandising/merchandise operations experience.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders to successful outcomes
- At least 10 years leadership/management experience with a strong propensity for team building, coaching and mentoring
- Proven ability to develop, manage and motivate a top caliber team around a compelling vision
- Highly effective relationship management skills with a track record of developing, socializing and executing strategies collaboratively
- Thorough understanding of the business, growth, change management, systems and process management
