**Department Overview**

TD Merchant Solutions (TDMS) is a unique business within Business Banking at the forefront of many emerging trends in the financial industry, such as e-commerce, payments innovation, and strategic partnerships. TDMS provides reliable, flexible, and easy to use e-commerce and Point of Sale (POS) card payment solutions to small business, commercial, and corporate clients. TDMS is the only Canadian fully bank-owned and operated merchant acquirer, managing all debit and credit card transactions for our merchants from authorization through to clearing and settlement. This end-to-end capability is a competitive advantage for TD, uniquely enabling the bank to meet more of the financial needs of our Business Banking clients.

The TDMS Strategic Partnerships Team builds referral relationships and integrations with third party software vendors, associations, and value add companies who offer products and services to our mutual merchants.
- Develop and manage the execution of the overall TDMS Strategic Partnerships objectives and accountabilities.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions to simplify and streamline the partner experience and help to grow merchant acquisition.
- Keep pace with industry developments and determining how this impacts the ISV market and TDMS
- Maintain and Develop Technical Knowledge of the TDMS Product, integration, and solution options for acquisition partnerships.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure changes to products are communicated to external partners and executed efficiently.
- Build and manage effective relationships, internally and externally, to support the strategic priorities of the Partnerships Team.
- Understand and assess the Partner product, Value Proposition, features, functionality, and the benefits to the TDMS Merchant and TDMS overall.
- Identify key opportunities which may open doors for TDMS to build net new revenue generating strategies.
- Execute, monitor, and collect data on campaigns in collaboration with the relationship managers.
- Develop and manage marketing material, templates, and digital content.

**Job Requirements**
- Knowledge of Merchant Solutions or Acquiring industry, products, business strategies, processes, systems would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in French would be considered as asset.
- Proven ability to build effective business strategies that lead to execution.
- Proven time management skills - ability to deliver work and manage multiple tasks under aggressive timelines in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent organization skills, problem solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing strategic and tactical deliverables.
- Proven interpersonal, communication, presentation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to provide clear and concise summaries to senior management.
- Excellent team player, able to work and build relationships across multiple teams and departments.
- Resourceful self-starter with ability to balance multiple tasks.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage own workload to deliver quality results and meet assigned timelines.
- Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze, escalate and solve problems quickly.
