**AS A FRONT OF HOUSE ASSISTANT**:
**The Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts seeks enthusiastic casual staff to work at performances and events as Front of House Assistants, beginning September 2023.**:

- Available shifts will vary, but applicants should be available to work a minimum of **4 to 8 shifts each month**, plus, additional, **mandatory** training hours on **Saturday, 9 September 2023,** from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM
- Shifts may be a mix of mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
- Uniforms are required and provided
- This position’s pay rate is $16.00/hour

Front of House Assistants will work events at the Isabel as **ushers, coat check, event setup runners, **with the possibility to work as **merchandise attendants.**

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Being an Ambassador for the Isabel
- Knowledge of the Isabel season performances
- Greeting and assisting patrons
- Assisting with event setup and strike
- Setting up parking lot signage
- Checking/scanning tickets and seating patrons
- Leading safe evacuations in case of emergency
- Enforcing Isabel policies in a professional and courteous manner
- Familiarity of the building and our events/programming
- Assisting patrons in need of CPR and First Aid
- Handling cash, POS system, filling forms, and reconciling floats (coat check and merchandise)

- Customer service skills and related past work experience
- A passion for the arts and the programming at the Isabel
- Problem-solving skills, proactive approach
- Friendly, approachable, and a positive disposition
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- CPR and First Aid certified (noting date of expiration), or willingness to obtain this certification in the near future
- Successful applicants will also be required to take Queen’s online AODA courses
