Girl Guides of Canada is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented **Event Coordinator**.

**About This Opportunity**

To support the Girl Guides of Canada mission - a better world by girls - we are seeking an Event Coordinator to support our provinces. GGC wants to support our volunteers by managing processes and paperwork so they can focus on delivering events that WOW our girl members. As part of our Events team, the Event Coordinator will support senior volunteers with their strategic projects, while also equipping Members with what they need to access and organize safe and fun events and activities in the wake of the pandemic. This includes registration systems, program connections and risk management support.

**The Event Coordinators will**:

- Provide support and insight to volunteers who are running local and provincial events to engage girls. This may include insights on established processes, providing reporting on events, supporting planning or budget development, supporting event communications and registrations, or advising on logistics and event quality assurance.
- Use, and become an expert in, GGC’s online registration system, ePly, to equip volunteers and staff with the knowledge they need to make events easy to organize and run.
- Support Provincial Advisers with processes and resources pertaining to events, which includes escalating complex situations, collaborating on project plans and supporting advertising and budgeting.
- Collaborate with Programming, Program Delivery and Risk teams to ensure any program or Safe Guide needs, connections or trainings are leveraged and deployed to the volunteers who need them.
- Support GGC’s volunteer Learning & Development team by overseeing adult event registrations.
- Respond to general event inquiries and ensure that a positive customer service relationship is maintained at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Related post-secondary education (Business Administration, Event Management, Volunteer Management) or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years’ experience working in an office environment.
- Intermediate computer skills including Office 365 (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
- Previous experience with database software (ePly, iMIS) preferred.
- Previous experience with youth events, including one-day events and week-long conferences or camps.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Skilled at setting priorities and managing time.

- Familiarity with Girl Guides of Canada and experience in the voluntary sector is an asset.
