**Position Overview**:
This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Food Bank, which includes the management of an extensive group of volunteers. The Coordinator is expected to recruit, interview, orient, train and oversee the activities of all Westboro Region Food Bank volunteers, as well as provide administrative and other support to distribution and inventory operations and special events. In addition, this person is responsible for maintaining an up-to-date list of community resources for clients and maintaining the Food Bank’s client database. This position is also responsible for health and safety within the facility.
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Food Bank and Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. We are committed to supporting our community by providing essential services and are looking for someone who shares our passion for helping others.
The Foodbank and Volunteer Coordinator reports to the Corporation of All Saints' Anglican Church in Westboro and are supervised by the clergy team.
**Essential Functions**:

- Coordinate weekly stock orders to ensure continuous supplies of food and specialty items for daily operations.
- Arrange deliveries and food pickups; assist in networking surplus foods to partner agencies such as Cornerstone locations.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support all volunteers in the organization.
- Administer client database and maintain essential records for clients and volunteers.
- Oversees health and safety staff training, response to incidents, and record-keeping.
- Provides facility tours and attends special events or community meetings as required.
- Compile and report statistics as required.
- Liaise with the Ottawa Food Bank, other community groups, clergy, and church financial planners.
- Other duties as they become necessary.

- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to manage volunteers effectively.
- Stellar organizational skills to manage time and demands of the position and also the adhoc needs from the Food Bank operations.
- Calm, non-anxious presence and training in non-violent conflict resolution.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check required.

**Food Bank Hours of Operation**:

- Monday: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- Tuesday: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- Thursday: 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
- note that there is at least an extra hour for preparing the space and time for cleaning up. Generally, the shifts are a total of 5 hours.
- Thursday mornings will be food delivery which is between 9 am to 12 pm, depending on the schedule of the Ottawa Food Bank truck. This and the sorting of food will be additional hours to the opening hours.
- Other hours are flexible for administrative tasks and volunteer management. Special events will be included in these flexible hours.

**Compensation**:
Starting at $22.00 per hour for a total of 25 hours per week. Defined benefit pension and health and dental benefits.
