Regional Sales Manager- Canada

**Position Summary**
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) position is responsible for selling a full suite of metal railing and barriers in new and established markets. This role will be the main point of contact for customers within the assigned region. The assigned region includes the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) but will extend to other key markets as required, including but not limited to, Windsor, Ottawa, London and midwestern states in the U.S. Daily duties include, but are not limited to quoting, following up on backlog, following up on outstanding quotes and projects, and ensure the best possible close rates. This is a remote role and regular travel within the region is required.
**Responsibilities**
- Open and establish new markets for product growth in the ICI segment in GTA and beyond.
- Drive year over year sales growth and meet/ exceed budgets for defined product markets and territories.
- Develop and expand strong relationships with key architects, spec writers, consultants, GC’s and CM’s, and developers within the commercial construction market.
- Work to expand brand recognition within key target markets; work with internal sales and estimating group to develop and execute sales strategy and marketing plan.
- Generate and share performance reports with sales network on a consistent basis and take the necessary steps to address underperformance.
- Study and know the competitive landscape including products, price points, relative trade and contracting groups, and how to compete successfully in the territories.
- Develop and present educational seminars for the full customer range of architects, contractors, trade associations, peripheral customers, and other employees as required.
- Attend trade shows and industry events as needed.
- Negotiate sales opportunities with customers and internal management with the purpose of producing profitable sales and meeting budgets.
- Establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for distributors.
- Work with assigned project management teams to manage customer expectations and act as company liaison as needed.
- Travel as required to develop and maintain the market and service the territories.
- Other duties as needed.

- Proficiency with MS Office suite products (Word, Excel, Power Point) is required. Familiarity with order management software, including CRM, and Procore is a plus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel and ensure the best practices and stewardship of the company.
**Experience**
- 5+ years of experience in construction sales and business development
- Experience negotiating in complex, multiparty situations.
- Experience with construction bid documents including drawings sets, specification and contract language.
- Experience utilizing Estimator bid sheets.
- Experience creating and delivering effective sales presentations and training.
**Education**
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar field of study preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
**Other Requirements**
- This position is required to travel approximately 30% - 40% within the assigned region.
- This position operates in a home office environment and must have a dedicated workspace.
- Physical
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
