YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS

The Manufacturing Operations Support Buyer will be responsible for the commercial management and negotiation of the best interests of the organization with the supplier network with respect to components in production. In addition, it supports assembly sites in the search and deployment of solutions to various procurement challenges. More specifically, it will be responsible for:
Manage the purchasing activities of existing and serial production parts in accordance with pre-established procurement strategies.

Work collaboratively with logistics, planning and production sectors to efficiently and proactively supply components to plants.

Develop contingency plans with partner sectors to address procurement issues.

Identify and seize opportunities to optimize material costs.

Identify and build a network of contacts to maximize opportunities for contingency plans to be put in place if necessary.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in administration/engineering or another related field

1 to 10 years of relevant experience in sourcing

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Team player with solid priority management skills

Strategic vision and very strong analytical skills

High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and SAP

Mandatory bilingualism, written and spoken (English/French); proficiency in Spanish an asset

Interest in BRP products, different manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing
