**Duties**:
You will participate in all types of Resource Conservation activities. This position will require a combination of field work in front-country and back-country areas around the field unit, as well as associated office work.

STREAM 1: Monitoring
- Support the ecological monitoring of Fundy National Park’s three ecosystems: Forest, Freshwater, and Wetlands. Areas of monitoring include, but aren’t limited to forest birds, tree health assessments, and terrestrial invasive species;
- Support the implementation of Fundy National Park’s Atlantic Salmon Recovery Program through the monitoring of juvenile and adult salmon populations;
- Additional support for other conservation initiatives;
- Collect data, manage databases, and conduct basic data analysis;
- Collaborate with park staff to develop and/or conduct research projects, which may include summarizing previous research and presentations; and
- Respond to basic human-wildlife coexistence situations.

STREAM 2: Visitor Safety
- Provide basic visitor safety including first aid and rescue services in a wildland setting;
- Respond to basic human-wildlife coexistence situations;
- Regular communication with visitors and the public;
- Input data into the Incident and Event Management (IEM) System and conduct basic data analysis; and
- Additional support for other conservation and monitoring initiatives.

- Experience organizing and entering collected data in a digital format.
- Experience or training in first aid or emergency management situations.
- Ability to carry heavy gear for long distances.
- Valid certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR for the duration of the work term.
