Accounting Assistant

The Accounting Assistant assists with full cycle accounting with a primary focus on Accounts Receivables, project and general office administration.

**Accountabilities**:

- Follow company processes and company Safe Work Procedures and Practices
- Work within company, customer, and other existing standards and regulations pertaining to their scope of work
- Reporting and rectifying of potential hazards, accidents, and near misses
- Assist with job costing reporting, reconciliations
- Assist with recurring monthly accruals and allocations
- Assist with analyzing income statements for correctness and report on variances
- Assist with accurate and timely reconciliation of all divisional balance sheet accounts including bank reconciliations
- Assist with preparation of monthly working papers to support the financial statements
- Assist with preparation of bank reporting
- Assistance with the preparation of the year-end financial reporting working papers
- Document and Data control
- Process and file purchase order
- Process and file work orders
- Credit Card reconciliations
- Set up Credit with customers
- Prepare job contracts
- Collect customer satisfaction reports, surveys, and questionnaires
- Daily reporting of functions
- Distribute and review quality assurance forms
- Receive, process, and file invoices
- Manage office supply orders
- Promote a healthy company culture built around our Mission, Vision, and Golden Rules

**Requirements**:

- Legally allowed to work in Canada and the province where work is being conducted.
- Accounting Degree working towards CPA or CA designation
- Technically inclined with a high proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to deal with change in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written skills in English
- High sense of urgency while maintain accuracy
- Provide a clean Criminal Record Check
- Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
