**Overview**

Reporting to the Region Sales Execution Manager, the
**Key Account Manager (Ontario)** is accountable to support the delivery of sales and profit objectives (Net Revenue, Field Contribution) within the area and account portfolio. This role develops and maintains collaborative partnerships with retail customers, establishes advantaged partnerships, and delivers key commercial objectives.

**Responsibilities**

The KAM will work with members of the Ontario Retail Team to achieve sales growth and profit objectives. This will be achieved through the following key areas:

- Build relationships with customers, effectively building and executing joint business plans
- Deliver annual sales and trade spend plans
- Conducts business reviews with customers to review current state of the business and future opportunities as well as to align on future activities and goals
- Building effective relationships with the Customer team, Zone Sales Leaders and DSLs across the area.
- Provide regular updates regarding JBP execution leveraging score my store data.
- Collaborates with cross-functional and cross-divisional business partners to identify and address strategic selling opportunities to deliver annual volume, profit, and share plans
- Engages and aligns Field Sales Teams around customer business plans such as period communication packets, annual operating plan (AOP) rollout, and customer direction
- Develops, executes, and maintains wiring strategies, both internally and with customer leadership
- Leverages insights and data to craft stories and unlock profitable volume on business
- Leverages trade spend to maximize return on investment (ROI)
- Build, communicate, execute annual customer plans
- Understand customer strategies, business plans and practices in order to optimize business results
- Develop and champion business building strategies and plans to drive sales volume, profitability and placement of PFC products for assigned account/channel
- Develop, negotiate and secure full Customer Support of PFC’s Customer Merchandising Agreement to achieve PFC Volume, Share and Profit targets with assigned Customer
- Support selling efforts to pursue new distribution for PFC products, along with complete Mainline, Perimeter and Promotion support platforms
- Enable execution of Customer Plans by PFC Area selling teams via regular, effective, impactful and timely communication
- Manage all elements of Trade Spending with the Customer, including Promotional Allowances, Basic Merchandising Funds, Category Development Merchandising Funds, and Growth Incentive Program
- Develop and implement category solutions to customer utilizing the key elements of category management principles
- Lead the Small Format communication plan for the Ontario Area
- Manage regional accounts for the Ontario Area

**Qualifications**
- University Degree/College Diploma, preferably in business discipline
- 3-5 years Sales experience in a consumer products environment with a track record of achieving strong business results
- PFC Field Experience (DSL role) an asset, DSD experience
- Solid understanding of category, customer, consumer and competitive activity with ability to integrate knowledge into a compelling sales story
- Strong analytical abilities and solid negotiation skills
