**Job Purpose**:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, administering payments, and managing vendor accounts/relationships.

Primary Accountabilities
- Receives, processes, and codes vendor invoices and employee expense reports on a timely basis
- Creates and maintains vendor information in the accounting system
- Handles the administration of tax forms and adheres to tax compliance reporting requirements
- Processes payments through various payment channels, including EFT/ACH, wires, cheques, and credit cards
- Deposits cheque payments to various bank accounts
- Administers the corporate credit card platform
- Researches and resolves accounts payable issues with customers or vendors
- Diligently maintains records by electronically filing documents
- Support the Corporate Accounting team in compiling audit requests relating to invoices and payments
- Assists with office clerical and administrative tasks, as needed

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Completion of a diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- 2+ years of accounts payable or accounting experience
- Experience with using accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics GP preferred)

- Organized and detail-oriented, with an ability to work both quickly and with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Superior interpersonal and customer service skills
- Computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel and Outlook
