**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Manager, Office of the Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President (Academic), the Program Coordinator supports procedures and activities related to Carleton’s Institutional Quality Assurance Process (IQAP), as well as academic initiatives as determined by the Provost or Vice-Provost.

A primary focus is the coordination and support of processes related to cyclical program reviews, new program approvals and major modifications administered by the Office of the Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President (Academic). In fulfilling his/her duties, the incumbent maintains effective relationships and collaborates closely with Faculty Deans, Associate Deans, academic units, and other administrative departments on campus.

**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent must possess the following qualifications**:

- Excellent organizational, administrative and inter-personal skills; a well-developed knowledge of the University's organizational structure; policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work well under pressure and towards deadlines with limited supervision is a necessity.
- Strong analytical and interpretative skills are a must in order to prepare timely and relevant reports for consideration.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and oral).

**Education and Experience**:
**The above is normally acquired through the completion of**:

- Completion of a four year university degree.
- Five to six years of office administration experience, preferably in a post-secondary environment. Experience with planning of administrative projects or academic research using the Internet, academic databases, file archives, etc., is a requirement.
