The School of Design is one of three units of the University of Montreal’s Faculty of Environmental Design, which
offers programs at all three levels of study in its five disciplines: architecture, landscape architecture, industrial design,

The School of Design offers bachelor's degrees in industrial design and interior design, three specialized graduate
programs (D.E.S.S.) in game design, strategic eco-design and interior design, as well as two master's degrees
(M.Sc.A.) in design: Design, creation and innovation with a research-creation project, and Design theory with a
dissertation. Her professors supervise master and doctoral work in the Faculty of Environmental Design's
interdisciplinary program.

**Job description**:

research activities (fundamental research, applied research or research creation) that will contribute to the

Studio teaching, lectures and seminars for the Bachelor of Industrial Design and Master of Design programs,
as well as for other programs offered by the faculty; 

Supervision of graduate students; 
Setting up, developing and promoting a research program; 
Participation in the development and management of the School's programs; 
Contribution to university life and the running of the institution; 
Contribution to the reputation of the School, the Faculty and the University.

Bachelor's degree in industrial or product design, or a bachelor's degree deemed as equivalent; 
Research experience and publication record. Publications in the process of being peer-reviewed or published

may be included; 
Experience in university teaching, particularly in design studios, and versatility in teaching and mentoring

undergraduate and graduate students; 
Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team; 
Sufficient knowledge of the French language or determination to learn it once in position through the French

language learning support program offered by UdeM, as set out in the Université de Montréal Language
Policy Politique linguistique de l’Université de Montréal.
