**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounts Receivable Clerk will work closely with HomeEd's staff and residents for various accounting-related activities.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Enter move in’s and process move out’s for tenants in existing buildings or prospects for new buildings
- Perform routine bank deposits, enter bank information and auto-withdrawals
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date AR balance
- Maintain the tenant ledgers, including processing tenant chargebacks and tenant move-outs
- Create additional tenant charges (i.e. late fees, tenant charge backs, NSF and etc.)
- Deal with returned deposits and communicate internally with operations until resolution
- Assist in collection of current tenant charges
- Carry out the collection of overdue accounts for past tenants and working with a collections agency as needed
- Run monthly Gross Potential Rent report and rent rolls for all properties, portfolios, or overall for the organization
- Perform monthly review process with operations
- Provide coverage for Accounts Payable Clerk, as well as assistance during times of heavier workloads
- Provide assistance for annual audits, lender, or other 3rd parties as necessary
- Assist the Accounting Manager as needed

**Education & Experience Qualifications**:
- Minimum diploma in Accounting is required
- 1+ years in a dynamic accounting environment, including experience in accounts receivable
- Experience in property management software such as Yardi is an asset
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office suite, and video conferencing products
- Written and oral fluency in the English language
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities may be considered.
