**Job Summary**
We are a growing company, currently seeking dedicated, adaptable individuals to join Grimco. Grimco is a national wholesale sign supply manufacturer and distributor that has been around for over 145 years with 50+ locations in the United States, 8 in Canada, and recent expansion into the United Kingdom. This role is based out of our Corporate location in Richmond Hill with the scheduled hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday.
**Key Responsibilities & Duties**
- Ensure the timely collection of receivables and manage assigned customer accounts.
- Set up new customer accounts and extend credit to customers based on company policy.
- Work closely with other A/R team members and managers to respond to credit and collection concerns with existing and potential customers.
- Daily posting deposits, EFT, and POS Slips.
- Analyze delinquent accounts and prepare monthly reports on highest risk accounts including recommendations for resolutions.
- Notify customers of overdue payments and accounts by telephone, mail, and registered mail, and follow up as required.
- Recommend discontinuation of service in cases where payment is not forthcoming.
- Answer correspondence and provide information about claims or accounts, prepare reports, and maintain records and files related to collection work.
- Calculate, prepare, and issue documents related to accounts such as invoices, inventory reports, account statements, and other financial statements using computerized systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
- ** Bilingual: French/English required for the position.**
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, collections, or related experience
- Completed Post Secondary Education from an accredited college/university.
- Previous experience with ERP and integrated accounting systems.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other Characteristics**
- Knowledge of collections and best practices.
- Competency in MS Office Suite, internet navigation, and data entry experience.
- Ability to take direction and to make independent decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with customers.
- Active listener who can effectively problem solve and think outside the box.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and true commitment to customers and team members.
- Confidence and positive attitude are a must

**Training & Development**
- 3 weeks of focused training time followed by ongoing support by team members
- The majority of time training is focused on: accounting, computer systems, products, phones/customers, sales/service, distribution, web store, safety, human resources, and reports.
- Split between break-out session and hands-on learning environment.
