Accounting Assistant

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Accounting Manager in organizing and systematizing accounting tasks for enhanced efficiency.
- Perform basic data entry tasks and maintain up-to-date records.
- Record journal entries and assist in the monthly and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct other bookkeeping and accounting duties as requested, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with the accounting team to support various accounting projects and activities.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to work independently, managing time effectively to meet crucial deadlines.
- Ensure the highest standards of accuracy and quality in all financial documentation and reporting.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (ADP or QuickBooks preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
