- This position is open to residents of Canada that are available to work during Intrigue’s core hours of operation (8:30 am to 4:30 pm EST). **Compensation**:
Compensation is a base salary of $58,000 - $70,000
- Salary compensation - we want to make sure you are taken care of and receive a competitive salary
- Variable compensation - this is provided for additional work you complete that is above and beyond your requirements
- Annual profit-sharing bonus

**The Role**:
In your role as an SEO Content Writer, you will be responsible for building strategies and crafting content for websites, blogs, and landing pages to help meet campaign goals. You will also be responsible for providing recommendations to improve the optimization of client websites and successfully implement these initiatives.

**Here’s what the role looks like**:
You will:

- Research and analyze client industries to develop SEO strategies for marketing campaigns.
- Create and edit original content that is accurate, well-researched, high-quality, and in line with a campaign strategy to exceed client expectations.
- Adapt copy to various channels, including client websites, social media platforms, blogs, and more.
- Align with keyword strategy and optimize content for SEO.
- Stay up-to-date with SEO best practices and website copywriting strategies through research and implementation.
- Understand the local markets of our clients.
- Collaborate with internal and external experts to learn about client goals and content needs, and provide recommendations.
- Work with the internal team to advise on SEO best practices across all areas of marketing campaign development.
- Meet with clients and facilitate sessions to bring valuable content to their audience and generate best practice content strategies.
- Manage a large number of clients and your own schedule.
- Ensure a smooth content review process with clients.

**What we’re looking for**:
An SEO Content Writer will come to us with a technical and creative writing background, a strong knowledge of SEO best practices, and a proven track record of driving results using search-optimized content.

**Your skills include**:

- A post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of writing experience.
- A strong, professional copywriting portfolio that includes a variety of different types and forms of writing.
- Exceptional grammar, spelling, research, fact-checking, and editing skills.
- Proficient in keyword research and SEO-optimized copywriting.
- Experience with WordPress and other CMS platforms.
- Experience with writing landing pages and websites.
- Experience writing blogs.
- Background working with various SEO tools (Yoast, Moz, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Surfer SEO, SpyFu, etc.).
- Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with various industries.
