**Claims Specialist**

The Claims Specialist provides support for claims to the commercial department assigned niches and their teams. This includes reporting claims and advocacy for the client. The Specialist will also liaise with the adjuster and insurance company on their behalf. The role includes tracking of claims costs, maintaining up to date loss histories, and ensuring in and outgoing documentation is properly documented in the broker management system (EPIC).

One of the keys to success in this role is a strong knowledge of the claims process as well as the ability to effectively assist clients who have experienced a significant loss. The Claims Specialist is responsible to ensure that our clients receive prompt and thorough service from the insurer while being sensitive to the situation as a result of the claim. A sense of urgency, quick follow-up and strong organizational skills are required.

**LOCATION AND STATUS**
- Calgary, AB
- Full-time, permanent

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 3-5 years of related experience in the insurance industry
- Experience in an insurance brokerage is considered an asset
- Alberta Level 1 License required and working toward level 2
- CIP designation or working towards is considered an asset
