We are excited to announce openings for a Claims Specialist position at Peace Hills Insurance. This role is pivotal in our operations, as it involves the thorough investigation, assessment, negotiation, and resolution of claims associated with our insurance policies. The successful candidate will report directly to the Claims Manager and will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring a smooth claims process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring that coverage is confirmed and applicable to the claims reported.
  • Collecting recorded statements from involved parties.
  • Assessing eligibility for coverage, determining liability, and clearly communicating the coverage and claims process to both insured individuals and claimants.
  • Calculating entitlements and ensuring timely issuance of payments.
  • Negotiating settlements for total loss claims, managing salvage disposal, and documenting all related activities.
  • Collaborating with brokers, underwriters, and other professionals within the industry.
  • Coordinating repairs and rental arrangements as necessary.
  • Performing various other tasks as required to support the claims process.
Qualifications Required:
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to critically analyze data to make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a willingness to tackle challenges.
  • Highly developed organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree, or progress towards a CIP/FCIP designation is considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in handling auto claims is preferred.
