**What will you be doing**
- Ensuring proper documentation identifying the hazards and mitigation techniques have been completed before the execution of fieldwork activities.
- Maintaining log and site reports, such as the daily fieldwork report and work instruction package (WIP) progress sign-offs.
- Participating in daily/weekly meetings with project team/managers/planners and support services regarding planning and progress reporting if field work is allowed.
- Ensuring trained and qualified resources are effectively deployed, aligned and utilized, increasing overall productivity.
- Facilitating walk-down activities, ensuring all walk-down participants understand the scope of work.
- Ensuring workers participate in appropriate pre-job brief meetings to ensure workers are fully engaged and aware of all hazards associated with the planning and executing work activities.
- Ensure workers participate in appropriate post-job brief meetings to ensure workers have an opportunity to convey any lessons learned to assist in maintaining workplace safety and efficient work completion.
- Monitoring plan of day field work assignments utilizing the daily field report and providing daily progress updates against the expected completed work activities to the Project Manager.
- Ensuring only predetermined safe work practices are used during the course of work execution, which includes the authorization to shut down work that is unsafe.
- Preparing work permits, leading pre-job briefings and post-job reviews, or delegating this responsibility as needed.
- Effectively communicating and defining the scheduled break times for the workers to support scheduled work activities.
- Providing leadership that results in a safe work culture.
- Consulting with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Operations, Planners and Work Management staff to prioritize and schedule project work activities.
- Identifying any issues during project work activities and taking appropriate action where needed.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.

**What we are looking for**:

- Education
- A two (2) year Technical or University diploma/degree **or** a Journeyperson trades certification with seven (7) years or more of relevant experience.
- A diploma in Health & Safety is an asset.
- Experience
- At least seven (7) years of relevant experience, with at least five (5) years of leading and executing field work.
- Strong project supervisor track record.
- Familiarity with construction, remediation, demolition and building maintenance.
- Familiarity with radiological work is an asset.
- Proven ability to lead large crews in various disciplines.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Effective team building and leadership skills to develop collaborative relationships with colleagues and subordinates.
- Self-motivating, disciplined, and able to work independently and collaboratively in difficult/high-pressure situations.
- Ability to effectively manage change, responding to needs as they evolve while maintaining budget and timeline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Influences by translating expertise into practical business outcomes.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and to work under pressure.
- Able to prepare accurate resource and cost estimates and schedule, run and report progress on multiple concurrent jobs.
- Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of software programs.
- Demonstrated ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergencies or unusual or hazardous conditions and lead others in such conditions.
- Good writing skills for report development, daily logs, OTOs, work plans.
- Good overall knowledge of workplace safety issues, the work permit system, site rules, union agreements, and company policies, procedures, and programs.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a **minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom**. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”

**Working Conditions**:

- We have a compressed work week, which consists of a four-day work week and ten hours a day - starting at 6 am.
