Landscape Supervisor

Job Overview:
As a landscape supervisor you will be responsible for setting up each job and work with project manager and dealing with contractors.
**Responsibilities**:
- Execute landscaping projects according to plans.
- Ordering material as needed for job sites.
- Laying out the jobs, reading blueprints, setting grade elevations on projects.
- Running bobcats, mini excavators, loaders and various equipment. Experience needed.
- Class 3 License
- Setting up the jobs with project manager and dealing with contractors to set up schedule for work.
- Supervise and lead a team of landscapers, offering guidance and support throughout project execution.
- Dealing with Foreman, subcontractors, and supervisors from outside companies.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, budget limits, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with clients, supervisors, and subcontractors from project initiation to completion.
- Maintain and oversee the condition of equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order and returned to the shop daily.
- Monitor project progress closely and promptly address any arising issues.
- Train new team members on landscaping techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Complete all necessary safety & daily paperwork and documentation.
- Track and record job expenses, including materials used and hours worked.
- Keep the job site clean and safe at all times.
- Ensure proper training for each crew member's assigned tasks.
- Conduct job site safety briefings with crew members regularly to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Uphold industry and company standards in all installation work.
- Follow equipment safety and maintenance procedures diligently.
- Perform any required administrative tasks.
- Lead and supervise job foreman and crew members.
- Demonstrate leadership by example in all aspects of work.
- Arrive punctually at the designated location daily.
- Attend all offered safety training sessions, seek clarification when needed, and enhance job skills continuously.
- Maintain effective communication with team members, supervisors, and clients.
- Strive for personal improvement, aiming for career advancement opportunities.
- Engage in snow clearing duties during winter months.
**Experience**:
- Possess 10+ years of relevant experience with the ability to read blueprints and demonstrate above-average carpentry skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Preferably hold a Class 3 license with air brake endorsement and a commendable driving record.
- Proficient in operating heavy machinery like front-end loaders, mini excavators, skid steer machinery with attachments, and other construction equipment as needed.
- Familiarity with identifying perennials, shrubs, evergreens, trees along with their cultural requirements.
- Highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail while thriving in a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective time management skills; willingness to work long hours throughout the year.
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and multitask effectively.
- Capable of collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds including clients, contractors, vendors, etc.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance while being punctual and reliable.
- Arbrist license would be a huge assest.
- Snow clearing in the winter months.
*Wages based on experience and qualifications. Can be an hourly or salary position.
Pay: $42,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
