**Job Summary**
- The Department of Process Engineering and Applied Science encompasses Biological and Chemical Engineering as well as Food Science. Reporting to the Department Head, the Departmental Administrator is responsible for managing, overseeing, and coordinating all administrative and non-academic functions of the department of Process Engineering and Applied Science.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the financial management of all operating and special purpose accounts in the Department of Process Engineering and Applied Science and administer charges and transfers of funds against research grants contracts and restricted accounts.
- Manage all human resource issues and serve as the HR liaison for the department. Supervise administrative staff and assist the Department Head in the supervision of technical staff.
- Serve as primary resource for department faculty university administrative policies and processes and maintain and demonstrates extensive knowledge of such policies procedures and ensures adherence to them.
- Coordinate all facilities related issues within the department and is responsible for the purchasing of office equipment, furniture and lab equipment.
- Manage the development and maintenance of the department website, develops content, coordinating with the Department Head, faculty and staff, as required.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree with three to five years’ related experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Excellent organizational, leadership and management skills.
- Experience supervising support staff.
- Strong communication skills both written and oral.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain contacts with others in the university and must be able to work independently.
