Accounts Receivable-billing/credit Technician

Pelican international is looking for its next Accounts Receivable-Billing/Credit Technician for a temporary mandate. Reporting to the Corporate Controller and part of the Finance & Administration department's Accounts Receivable and Credit team, you will be called upon to perform the following tasks:
**YOUR DAY IN THIS POSITION**:

- Invoice daily shipments;
- Validate information and documentation prior to invoicing;
- Send electronic invoices (EDI and others);
- Analyze and verify customer program deductions and issue credit notes following approval by Corporate Controller;
- Perform certain information-gathering tasks for the opening of new customer accounts;
- Add and maintain price lists in the ERP system;
- Participate in the improvement of accounts receivable processes.

**Monthly**
- Perform month-end procedures related to receivables;
- Preparation of cash inflow forecast report;
- Preparation of customer insurance report;
- Prepare commission report;
- Participate in preparation of year-end audit.

**WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU**:

- DEC in Accounting or equivalent;
- 4 to 5 years' experience in a similar position;
- Basic knowledge of accounting;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to extract reports and analyses from databases;
- Experience in a computerized environment using an ERP system such as Sage X3 (a definite asset);
- Excellent command of MS Office Excel;
- Bilingual (French and English), both written and spoken;
- Dynamic, autonomous, serious, conscientious, meticulous, professional and a good team player.
