**Summary**

Provide leadership and oversight to the Branch Community Relations committee in support of the committee’s mandate to assist the Branch Board and Branch Management in the planning, coordination, and implementation of fund development, fundraising, and “friend” raising activities in support of the Branch’s charitable programs and services.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience Requirements**:

- Ideally suited for a senior manager/leader with not-for-profit, fundraising and/or financial management experience.
- Previous governance and volunteer experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Develop strategies and engagements that will support fundraising initiatives in alignment with SJA branch needs.
- Call committee meetings on a regular basis, reporting on committee activities to the Branch Board as required.
- Build relationships and collaborative partnerships, internally and externally.
- Ensure an agenda and a summary of meetings (e.g. minutes) are developed and approved for distribution.
- Provide oversight and leadership of committee members and activities and responsiveness to the planning, implementation, and achievement of results of approved Branch Operation Plans, supporting the approved strategies.
- In collaboration with Branch Management, formulate and recommend local guidelines and procedures consistent with Provincial and National policy related to the committee's area of interest to the Board.
- Ensure compliance with all Council and Branch approved policies and procedures.
- Provide the Branch Board and Management with regular reporting on committee activities.
