**Discipline Lead - Occupational Therapy, Alberta**

The Discipline Lead, works as part of the National Training and Development Team and under the guidance of the Regional Training and Development Lead to create a community of practice aligned to the CBI Health strategic objectives. Monitors college requirements for all regulated membership of clinicians who have a provisional status, ensuring that supervision provided meets the requirements set out by the regional college.

The Training and Development Discipline Lead may also participate in the creation and delivery of education materials and resources.

This position has a reporting relationship to their own site Clinical Manager (CM/MCS/CTL) and works collaboratively with their Regional Lead and other discipline leads in the training and development organizational structure.

**Take a look at inside what you'll do each day;**
- Ensures discipline specific regional onboarding, mentorship, training that supports Service Delivery needs and aligns with the National Training and Development strategy
- Ensure peer to peer learning content and delivery is aligned to clinical best practice at CBI and is aligned to the National Training and Development strategy
- Contributes to the creation, cataloguing and curation of training and development content
- Develop, lead, and foster relationships with the university programs and integrates students in educational opportunities
- Participates in the delivery of best practice days regionally and nationally and other events that contribute to a community of practice
- Support MCS with identified team members under performance management review with individual clinical training and development needs to best support 1:1 engagement
- Supports MCS in collaboration with HR Manager on PPD needs in the region specific to discipline
- Assists in recruitment of clinical team members of same discipline through supporting the Talent Acquisition team with interviewing and other recruitment needs
- Understands and abides by the regional governing college requirements/bylaws and the Code of Ethics for their respective professional discipline
- Monitors college requirements for all regulated membership of clinicians who have a provisional status, ensuring that supervision provided meets the requirements set out by the regional college

**Here's what you need to be successful;**
- A minimum of two years of experience in CBI Health service delivery including complex and/or acute programs, overall clinical needs and a demonstrated understanding of business performance, with additional 3 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of clinical service delivery models
- Understands clinical excellence -competency and KPIs of discipline and programs
- Experience leading teams
- Demonstrated ability to support program development and ability to follow through on execution
- Excellent writing skills for the development of written practice guidelines/protocols, workflows and training document
- Knowledge of adult learning principles
- Excellent presentation skills
