**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Under the guidance of the Program Directors for the Master of Accounting (MAcc) and Master of Finance (MFin) programs, and reporting to the Team Lead and Associate Dean, Professional Graduate Programs (PGP), the MAcc/MFin Program Officer is responsible for the administration and operation of the MAcc and MFin programs at the Sprott School of Business.

In addition to the above, the MAcc/MFin Program Officer is responsible for developing and implementing events to help MAcc and MFin students network with potential employers and other industry representatives. This role also requires the incumbent to attend public events for the purpose of networking with prospective employers and encouraging the hiring of Sprott MAcc and MFin graduates.

The MAcc/MFin Program Officer is expected to join professional accounting and finance associations for the purpose of increasing awareness and the profile of the MAcc and MFin, the Sprott School of Business, and the University. They are also expected to attend some student recruiting events in support of the PGP Promotion, Recruiting and Outreach Officer.

**Qualifications**:
**The incumbent must possess the following qualifications**:

- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, and be able to exercise discretion, ingenuity, and tact.
- Able to deal effectively and courteously with a wide variety of people, including professionals from other universities, and leaders of the community from both the private and public sectors.
- A solid academic and professional business background
- Well-developed listening and communication skills as well as a deep working knowledge of university rules and regulations and a full understanding of the link between advanced education and careers.
- Strong organizational skills, project coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential
- Excellent interpersonal abilities, strong written and oral communication skills, networking experience, and strong time-management and organizational skills.
- Able and willing to adjust their work hours/days of work to accommodate the need for travel. This may include work during the evening and some weekends outside the general operating hours of the University of 8:30am4:30pm, Monday-Friday.

- Five years of experience providing admissions and advising advice at a post-secondary institution.
