MLT Aikins is looking for a HR Program Manager to fill a full-time position. This position reports to the Director of HR Services and will assist the Director in the delivery of HR programs and initiatives including performance management, policy development and compensation. As this role will provide support across Western Canada, remote work opportunities are available.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Developing and maintaining HR programs, systems, policies and processes, and intranet content in support of firm objectives
- Serving as the first point of escalation for questions and requests related to human resource policies, procedures and benefits programs
- Supporting the onboarding of new HR team and management of team members by providing training on HR policies and systems
- Serving as a coach and mentor for other positions within HR
- Serving as the liaison for members of the firm on leave, keeping management and partners informed and coordinating third-party case management as required
- Developing and supporting the HR SharePoint site and HR reference materials for the management team and recruiting partners
- Managing and maintaining relationships with the HR team’s vendors and external stakeholders
- Leading the staff and associate remuneration and HR department budget processes including planning and monthly variance reporting and analysis
- Supporting management and partners in the administration of staff and lawyer mid-year and year-end performance management processes
- Supporting the development and maintenance of the staff and associate salary and bonus structures including providing recommendations based on internal and market salary data
- Developing and maintaining the staff position management and job classification processes and reporting tools
- Administering HR-specific research projects including semi-annual associate and employee voice surveys
- Supporting the design and maintenance of employee and lawyer onboarding programs, succession planning and attraction and recruitment strategies
- Performing other related duties as assigned

**Qualifications Include**:

- Undergraduate degree in HR and a minimum of five years of related experience
- Problem-solver with track record of innovative thinking and organized implementation of changes
- Strong communicator with strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong initiative and focus on providing excellent customer experience
- Knowledge of Human Resource practices
- Proven ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality
