The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team facilitates and advances person-centered care through evidence-based professional practice and learning strategies and programs that are designed provincially and implemented locally to enhance collaborative learning and practice. The Interprofessional Practice and Learning team takes a leadership role in creating a culture of collaboration with a focus on team-based care, evidence-informed practice, and learning and professional development to improve health outcomes for patients, families and communities. Through strong partnerships with the academic sector, regulators, and government, the Interprofessional Practice and Learning team has an integral role in influencing and operationalizing health system priorities.

**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager, Interprofessional Practice and Learning, the Professional Practice Coordinator (PPC) works collaboratively with members of discipline specific and interprofessional teams to create an environment for optimal person-centered care. PPC’s demonstrate expertise in their discipline; as well as demonstrating competency as a facilitator, change agent and leader. They foster a culture of learning to build capacity and support safe practice, advances professional practice through the development and implementation of transition to practice programs and ongoing practice at the point of care and professional development that integrates a learner centered approach. They are responsible for developing, planning, executing and evaluating learning experiences for staff within the program. This role will support Social Work within Rehabilitation and Supportive Care.

Please note this position requires periodic travel to facilities within Central Zone. Access to reliable transportation is required.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Masters in Social Work required
- Licensure and membership in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers required
- 3 years clinical experience in Social Work in an acute care setting required
- 2 years clinical experience with related leadership skills required
- Diploma or certificate in adult education or equivalent (or willing to obtain) considered an asset
- Recent professional development relevant to maintaining competency in clinical practice and education
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with others and strong leadership skills
- Experience in initiating and managing projects
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills
- Previous teaching experience which involves designing, implementing and evaluating both traditional and nontraditional methods of instruction preferred
- Strong problem solving skills and clinical reasoning skills
- Sound judgment, common sense, flexibility & compassion
- Ability to manage stressful situations, conflict and competing demands
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients, colleagues, management, students and volunteers
- Experience with group facilitation preferred
- Skills and experience in promoting learning cultures that nurture equity, diversity and inclusivity with a focus on intersectional values, analysis, and actions, clinical humility, and the responsible use of power and privilege.
- Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset

$44.14 - $51.47 hourly
$86,083 - $100,365 annually
