**Medical Office Assistant position**

Regency Park Family Practice is looking for exceptional talent to fill a full time position at our Halifax location. As part of Precision Health Group, we are leaders within our community from providing supportive housing to providing supportive healthcare to families.

**Your skills include**:

- You have demonstrated ability with prior experience in a healthcare setting
- You have relevant training applicable to this position
- Medical Office Administrative training preferred
- Solid computer skills, working ability with MS Office and MedAccess preferred
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and in person
- Available for occasional evening or Saturday morning hours from time to time

**Duties**:

- Greeting & checking in patients for their visits
- Scheduling patients according to visit types/needs
- Preparation/stocking of exam rooms
- Answering phones and directing patient inquiries appropriately
- Verification of patient information and insurance coverage
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up appointments for patients
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning of documents
- Provide assistance as requested to assist with inventory maintenance and ordering
- Provide other assistance as requested from time to time to assist both providers and patients

Established in 2015, we have consistently grown to not only include family practice doctors, but now also incorporate other specialties as well. We currently have a nurse and 2 nurse practitioners on our team. We also have specialists for Psychiatry, Cardiology, Prenatal, Addiction, Minor procedure, Psychology etc. We are always striving to deliver care more efficiently while also believing care starts the moment we answer the phone or greet someone at the desk.
