CPB Equipment Limited manages the maintenance, purchasing and Life cycle cost management for over 1400 pieces of equipment for 8 heavy civil construction companies in underground, roadwork, piling, crushing, and general contracting.
**Description**:
CPB Equipment Limited is seeking a highly motivated professional Service Writer/Advisor person. This person will provide support for our rapidly growing group of companies in Manitoba, by assisting in organizing the maintenance of a construction industry fleet.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Coordinate mechanic work flow in the shop and service trucks
- Coordinate with foreman and supervisors for repairs, schedules, and timelines
- Coordinate with outside vendors to schedule outside services
- Schedules Preventative Maintenance program
- Verifies warranty and service contract coverage.
- Manage the closing of work orders with support from the shop supervisor to ensure all parts, labour, warranty etc are properly accounted for.
- Assists shop supervisor by providing PM reports, Open Line Work Order reports, and Deferred Repair reports.
- Completes month end reports for accounting purposes.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge**:
- 1-2 years related experience required.
- Demonstrated prioritization and time management skills in a fast paced environment required.
- Knowledge of/ability to learn RTA and other business software
- Excellent problem solving skills and business acumen required.
- Ability to communicate with all levels and types of people inside and outside of the company required.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Construction or related industry experience and asset
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
