**About the Role**:
We have an exciting opportunity at our so.da social digital agency on the production team for a Lead Production Manager. Reporting to so.da’s Executive Producer, you’ll be responsible for managing a team of Production Managers and Coordinators, leading and managing so.da’s production and post projects that range from static illustrations to multi episode series. In this role you will lead and manage budgets, schedules and logistics on multiple projects in pitch and in progress.

You will work directly with the production team, strategy team, sales team, managed services team, marketing team, clients and other stakeholders to manage and support clients and Corus brand projects in development and production. so.da’s content production department works closely with its brands, clients and stakeholders to produce data driven creative that drives results. so.da is at the heart of one of Canada’s biggest media companies and is a full-service, social digital agency offering strategy, content production, analytics and everything in between.

**You will contribute by**:

- Leading and coaching a team of production managers and production coordinators through training, skill development and ensuring all team members are set up for success
- Creating, managing and leading pitch, production and post-production schedules and project budgets
- Maintaining, updating and creating processes for the production management department. Collaborating on processes across other departments.
- Providing production support for writers/producers/editors/graphic designers from project inception to completion
- Leading small and large scale social/digital client shoots, providing on-set management
- Negotiating rates and fees, hiring freelancers and working with other departments to secure resources
- Understanding of social and digital media industry best practices and specs
- Working within tight deadlines while managing multiple client projects.
- Ensuring final budgets are reported after each project wraps, reporting on margin on sales projects
- Hiring contract and FT employees
- Liaising with legal department regarding clearances, licenses, releases and contracts - maintain and update processes with team
- Lead team meetings to update team with workload, pitches and department updates.

**Skills and Experience you will bring**:

- A minimum of 5+ years of production management for client social and/or digital videos, 2+ years managing a team
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, experience working directly with clients on sales projects
- Strong and positive team leadership
- Excellent communication skills
- Impeccable organization skills and attention to detail
- Strategic thinking, creative problem solving with a growth mindset
- Experience leading live-action production shoots and working with small and large production budgets
- Experience in managing the post-production process from ingest to delivery
- Connected to a large network of production freelancers
- Demonstrated ability in tracking budgets and strong negotiation skills
- Can work on multiple projects at various stages of production in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude, self motivated and resourceful
- Passion for creating engaging and impactful social media video content
- A solid understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest etc.), their best practices and specs
