The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for reconciliation and processing of all customers, patients and 3rd party providers and adjustments entered into the accounts receivable system.

**Responsibilities**
- Process pre-authorized customer Bank Debits taken by Accounts Receivable.
- Responsible for the charge to customer accounts for credit card transactions.
- Process customer payments by credit cards.
- Reconcile and process 3rd party providers account payments.
- Maintain paper audit trail for cash processing.
- Process all approved adjustments to accounts.
- Keep the team leader informed of daily cash receipt status.
- Contribute and implement department process improvements on an ongoing basis.
- Perform backup functions and ad hoc tasks as required within department.
- Coordinate with pharmacy/finance coordinator regarding payment issues (unidentified/over/short payment/charge backs/rejected cheques) in a timely manner.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Typically requires 3+ years of related experience.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum two years' professional experience in Finance
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in accounting
- Active enrolment in a professional accounting designation program an asset.
- Previous experience in pharmacy cash processing using Kroll system is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Deadline driven with ability to multi-task, highly organized and solid time management skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently with confidence to take appropriate action on issues.

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

**Our Base Pay Range for this position**

$40,000 - $66,600
