Founded in 1970, Steele Hotels is an independent hotel operator based out of Newfoundland and Labrador Canada. With origins in Gander, NL the company has grown to include locations in St. John's, NL, Corner Brook, NL, and Fredericton, NB.

The Glynmill Inn is lookingfor a friendly, outgoing, and motivated individual to join our team full-time as a **Front Desk Agent**.

**Duties**:

- Greet and check in guests as they enter the hotel, Verify reservations and guest requests
- Respond to inquiries about availability, special requests, Provide information about hotel services, rooms, rates, and amenities
- Maintain the appearance of the front desk area by keeping it clean, neat, and organized
- Assist with other projects such as opening and closing of the front desk as needed.
- Reconcile all accounts promptly and verify all end-of-day cash etc from multiple departments and learning/working overnight audit shifts when required
- Ensure invoices are accurate and sent to the Accounts department
- Schedule guest wake-up calls and book reservations

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal. Must be able to pass a background check.
- Ability to work well as part of a team
