Wilmot Family Resource Centre is currently hiring a part-time **Events & Communications Lead** for 14-21 hours per week.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Events & Communications Lead will be the staff person responsible for agency events and communications.

This position will be responsible for developing, planning, and coordinating agency events and initiatives, as well as associated communications such as social media, website, advertising, enewsletters, poster creation, and maintenance of communications lists. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to representing the organization at community events to raise awareness, as well as tracking of event participation for reporting.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:

- Post-secondary education with a focus on marketing, communications or related discipline or a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar position.
- Proven experience in planning and managing events
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in the use of computers, internet, and various software (Microsoft office suite)
- Knowledge of and experience with CRM software, Hootsuite, Canva and social media platforms is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, and in a collaborative team environment
- Proven strong project management skills with ability to multi-task and set priorities
- A commitment to understand, uphold and communicate the mission and values of the agency
- Ability to organize and carry out events with the assistance of colleagues and under the guidance of the Executive Director
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to show compassion, discernment, & appropriate boundaries
- Use a non-judgmental, holistic, trauma informed, inclusive approach
- Access to reliable transportation
- Clean Vulnerable Police Records Check
- Mandatory Covid-19 vaccination policy is in place for all employees

**DETAILS**: Part-time 14-21 hours/week with occasional evenings & weekends required, $25.00/hour wage, expected start date is mid-July.
