The Purchasing & Materials Management Division at the City of Toronto is looking for a supplier management expert with a passion for change and transformation. The Manager, Business Transformation & Change Management will support the divisional change toward best practices in supplier management, through creating and implementing a change strategy including education and training, building relationships with stakeholders, and assessing current gaps in knowledge and process.

**What will you do?**

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supplier Governance & Compliance, you will provide leadership and change management to transform the supplier management at the City. You will assess knowledge gaps, work closely with divisional staff, and supplier management professionals.

You will optimize skills required to deliver industry best practices that support strategic decision-making, risk assessment, and framework development. Focused on continuous learning and innovation, you will help to define a change strategy, transformation and training plan. You will work with a range of stakeholders to ensure that the strategy and plan can address their pain points and set a foundation for transformative change.

We will rely on your industry experience within supplier management to recommend and prioritize new opportunities, continuous improvement, emerging technologies, tools, resources, methodologies, training and strategies to improve the Division's change management and risk management systems. You will provide a high level of customer service to divisional partners and teammates, supporting team members with processes and tools needed to effectively and efficiently deliver supplier products and services to the City and to the public.

You will establish training and awareness programs, business processes, governance and policy changes. We will also value your input on development and implementation of functional policies and programs, as the division works towards continuous improvement and ongoing change to the supplier and contract management.

Success in this role will be supported by a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, along with considerable experience in change management, supplier and contract management, governance and compliance. You also have experience in developing training, education, and change management materials to promote and enhance understanding of purchasing practices and supplier management.

You have experience developing, motivating, and building diverse teams, and a demonstrated ability to build exceptional relationships with stakeholders, senior leadership, and peers. An excellent communicator, you effectively influence and share messaging with all levels of the organization.
