About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Delivery Driver Owner Operator to join our team at Box Bus Inc. As a Delivery Driver Owner Operator, you will be responsible for delivering packages and goods to customers in the Toronto area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Requirements: You must provide a minivan or cargo van for work purposes.
  • Delivery Routes: You will be responsible for delivering packages and goods to customers in the Toronto area, with a typical daily distance of 50-200 km.
  • Shifts and Schedules: Shifts are available every day of the week, with a start time of 7am-8am and a duration of 6-10 hours.
  • Load Times: Load times will be from 7am-8am.
  • Payment and Bonuses: You will be paid based on the number of stops you make, with a typical pay rate of $25-$35 per hour. You will also be eligible for bonuses during peak season.
  • Essential Worker: As an essential worker, you will have a guaranteed job even in the event of a lockdown.
  • Full-time and Part-time Positions: We offer both full-time and part-time positions, with full and half routes available.
  • Vehicle Branding: If you have a white, black, or grey cargo van, you can earn an additional $220 per month for having a branding wrap.
Requirements
  • Safety Vest and Shoes: You must wear a safety vest and hard-toe shoes/boots at all times while working.
  • Winter Tires: You must have winter/all-weather tires, not all-season tires.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: You must ensure that your vehicle is in good working condition at all times.
  • Physical Ability: You must be able to safely get in and out of your vehicle multiple times a day.
  • Smartphone and Data Plan: You must have a smartphone with a data plan.
  • Driver Abstract: You must have a relatively clean driver abstract.
  • Criminal Background Check: You must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • English Communication Skills: You must have excellent English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Courier Experience: 1+ year of courier experience in the Toronto/Scarborough area, preferably downtown.
  • Customer Service Background: A customer service background is an asset.
  • Time Management Skills: You must have good time management skills.
