We’re looking for an enthusiastic **Health & Safety Advisor** to join our growing team. If you are an experienced professional with a deep understanding of occupational health and safety standards, as well as have a background in project management and a love of teaching both one-on-one and in groups, then this role is for you

As a Health & Safety Consultant your time will be split between:

- Providing health and safety management services on-site for clients
- Delivering training to clients in a classroom or virtual setting
- Researching and developing new training course materials/content

You’ll be a perfect fit if you love to:

- Interact with clients to provide health and safety advice and leadership to assist in maintaining compliance
- Teach students through lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and hands-on equipment training
- Perform safety officer duties on behalf of clients, including: leading meetings, facilitating training, performing inspections, audits, program updates and incident reporting
- Review, edit and update existing health and safety programs and courses
- Research and develop new health and safety courses for both online and instructor-led formats
- Keep up to date on legislative changes and requirements throughout Canada, specifically Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia
- Participate in professional development sessions, team meetings and instructor training
- Travel occasionally throughout Ontario

You’ll need to bring:

- A degree, diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety from a recognized post-secondary institution OR recent occupational health and safety experience
- Experience working in a health and safety capacity required, within the construction or manufacturing industry preferred
- Experience delivering health and safety training
- CRSP, CHSC or NCSO designation(s) (preferred)
- Experience in developing, implementing and auditing COR health and safety programs;
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Must reside and be able to legally work in Canada
