**Position: Health & Safety Specialist**

**Employment: Full-time (40 Hours/Week)**

**Location: Dundas, ON (HQ) and various GTA locations**

**Salary: $55,000 to 75,000 to start DOE**

We’re looking for an enthusiastic **Health & Safety Specialist** to join our growing team. If you are an experienced professional with a deep understanding of occupational health and safety standards, as well as a love of communicating with clients to meet their needs, then this role is for you

As a Health & Safety Specialist your time will be split between:

- Speaking with prospective clients to understand their needs and providing proposals based on the scope of work
- Developing health and safety programs and procedures for clients and supporting the implementation of their program
- Providing health and safety support for clients in-person or remotely
- Reviewing and modifying existing health and safety policies, programs and practices
- Working with clients to understand, educate and deliver on their program needs
- Researching and developing new training course materials/content

You’ll be a perfect fit if you love to:

- Interact with clients to provide health and safety advice and guidance
- Perform safety duties on behalf of clients, including: leading meetings, facilitating training, performing inspections, audits, program updates and incident reporting
- Review, edit and update existing health and safety programs and courses
- Teach workers through lectures, discussions, audio-visual presentations, and hands-on equipment training
- Research and develop new health and safety courses for both online and instructor-led formats
- Keep up to date on legislative changes and requirements throughout Canada, specifically Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia
- Participate in professional development sessions, team meetings and instructor training
- Travel occasionally throughout Ontario

You’ll need to bring:

- A degree, diploma or certificate in occupational health and safety from a recognized post-secondary institution OR recent occupational health and safety experience
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Experience working in a health and safety capacity within the construction or manufacturing industry preferred
- CRSP, CHSC or NCSO designation(s) preferred but not required
- Experience in developing, implementing and auditing health and safety programs
- Ability to work independently
- Must reside and be able to legally work in Canada
