Automotive and Equipment and Machinery Appraiser

We are an independent mobile appraisal company seeking a full-time appraiser in the Ottawa area. This is a commission-based position with compensation paid for personal use of vehicle and a work from home arrangement.
**Responsibilities**:
- Create physical damage appraisals for our various vendors, through independent field inspections
- Support other co-workers during periods of high volumes
- Maintain a high level of expertise in automobile, RV and Commercial repair techniques, estimating software and vehicle evaluations
- Complete re-inspections and supplemental estimates when necessary
- Negotiate and settle total loss vehicles when required
**Skills**:
- Work independently and with a team
- Strong computer knowledge with experience with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience appraising /estimating automobile physical damages
- Certified Auto Body Repairman/Mechanic/HD Mechanic will be preferred.
- Possess technical knowledge of auto body collision and mechanical repairs.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Professional, friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or co-workers

Pay: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
