We are seeking an Automotive Equipment Technician Assistant to join our team at Browns Automotive.

About the Role

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a combination of physical and technical skills. As an Automotive Equipment Technician Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our technicians with various tasks, including moving equipment and materials, holding stakes during surveying activities, and signaling safety procedures to other workers and the general public.

You will also be required to clean machines and immediate work areas, as well as help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed. This role involves working in a physically demanding environment, requiring manual dexterity, and a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure, handle a large workload, and lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Steel-toed safety boots are required for this role.

We offer a competitive salary of $40,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. The successful candidate will work a standard 40-hour week, with opportunities for overtime.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role, but relevant experience will be considered.
