Seeking a part
- time receptionist in downtown Toronto at a medical clinic.

A receptionist is the first point of contact between the clinic and patient. A warm, friendly, and caring personality is of importance. Further, in this role, the administrative support includes answering phones, greeting patients and visitors, and scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner.

Since we are a smaller clinic, further tasks at times may include assisting with marketing & educational activities such as creating patient educational materials.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone
- Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette
- Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized
- Registers new patients in scheduling system
- Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
- Responds to inquiries by patients, prospective patients, and visitors in a courteous manner
- Process payment for services and products received by patient
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records. Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Keeps medical supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment

**Education Requirements**

Minimum a high school diploma or graduation equivalency degree.

**Experience & Skills**

Previous administration or receptionist experience or a minimum of one-year work experience in a medical office setting is preferred. During this time experience with telephone etiquette, customer service, basic word and excel programs, time management, multi-tasking, organization, scheduling are all valuable.

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour
