_**Southside Golf Course**_ is looking for people who have a love for golf and understand the “Pace of Play” to join our amazing team for the 2023 Golf Season

We are looking to fill Casual, PT & FT positions.

**Starter Description**:
Starters are responsible for the orderly and timely movement of tee time; controlling the pace of pay, ensuring the golf course policies and dress code are followed in addition to providing guests high quality customer service.

**Marshal Description**:
Marshals are responsible for monitoring the pace of play; remind groups that fall out of position of ways to speed up pace; ensure the golf course policies and dress code are followed in addition to providing guest high quality customer service.

**Qualifications**:

- Exceptional customer service is a must.
- Ability to maintain friendly and calm communication.
- Demonstrates a positive demeanor when dealing with customers or team members.
- Must be available for weekend, holidays and shift work.
- Must have a general knowledge of golf course operations.
- Ability to lift over 25 lbs.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s licence. _(or Must have reliable transportation (located just outside of the city limits, no public transportation available)._

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the flow of golfers around the course. Most important, look for ways to help the pace of play.
- Interact with golfers in a friendly and helpful manner.
- If needed, gently remind guests of proper golf etiquette.
- Calmly mediate any challenges that might arise on the course.
- Responsible for informing player of course conditions and local rules.
- Must keep tee times moving on time and in an orderly manner.
- Communicate with Golf Shop and keep up-to-date and accurate tee sheet.
- Track players and speed of play.
- Responsible for maintaining a reasonable pace of play on the golf course.
- Communicate and assist Golf Shop in keeping an accurate pace of play.
- Communicate with Starter and/or Marshal, Golf Shop and Beverage Cart about any pace of play concerns.
- Monitor and assist with course cleanliness including outdoor public washroom facilities.
- Keep track of golf carts and rental equipment.
- Follow policies and procedures of Southside Golf Course.
- Maintain a record of daily play.
- Balance Starter Sheet with Golf Shop during shift.
- Ensure Starter Shed is stocked with assigned essentials.
- Assist Golf Shop or Back Shop staff as needed i.e., park golf carts at end of day.
- Remain open and positive in communications with guests and team members.
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance while on duty; adhere to the dress code.
- Perform other course duties as directed by Management Team.

**Job Types**:
