Course & Grounds Technician

Beaconsfield Golf Club is looking to hire multiple enthusiastic individuals to join our Course & Grounds team for the 2023 golf season. The Club, established in 1904, is a premier private golf club featuring a classic eighteen-hole course as well as practice areas. Situated in Pointe Claire, on Montreal’s West Island, the Club is currently undertaking an extensive course renovation under the guidance of internationally recognized golf course architects, Jeff Mingay and Christine Fraser.

Under the general supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents, the Course & Grounds Technician will be responsible for undertaking various tasks that pertain to the daily presentation and maintenance of a private golf club. Safety is paramount, and all necessary training will be provided.
- **Job Description & Responsibilities**:_
- Operate various types of walk-behind and ride-on mowing equipment
- Assist with the maintenance of bunkers and other non-turf areas
- Operate various hand tools and equipment, including line-trimers and backpack blowers
- Perform all other tasks as directed
- **Prerequisites**_:

- Ability to have fun with co-workers and work within a team
- Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times
- Ability to work under moderate supervision
- No experience within the golf industry is required, and all necessary training will be provided to ensure that you are comfortable with all assigned tasks
- Willingness to work early mornings, and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of the game of golf preferred, but not required

This position is seasonal, with an adaptable start and end date. We are highly flexible with scheduling and can provide both full and part-time positions. Compensation is more than $15.50 per hour, with higher hourly wages being available based on experience. Overtime may be available. Golf privileges are available to employees with an interest in the game. Potential for generous year-end bonus, based on duration of employment, performance review and other factors.
