Conditions of Employment:

- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must have a valid full stage Class 5 driver's licence and the ability to travel within the Province of Manitoba.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and statutory holidays on occasion.
- Must provide a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search).
- Must provide a current satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check.
- Must provide a current satisfactory Adult Abuse Registry Check.

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Post-secondary education in the social services field. This may include a certificate, diploma or degree. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience within the social services field may be considered.
- Experience working with individuals/families from diverse backgrounds (cultural, financially disadvantaged, persons with disabilities, socially disadvantaged, newcomers, etc.) who may face multiple barriers and challenges such as addictions, mental illness, disability and employment.
- Ability to manage conflict in a calm, assertive and respectful manner.
- Strong English written communication skills
- Effective English verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to independently problem-solve with understanding and empathy while also ensuring that Legislation and policy are appropriately and equitably applied.
- Ability to set priorities, to organize and exercise initiative in a complex and fast-paced work environment with high-volume caseloads and competing demands.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with participants, other programs and external resources.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Outlook).

**Desired**:

- Case management experience in a social service setting.
- Knowledge of Employment and Income Assistance programs through awareness and/or lived experience.
- Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in French (required for some positions only).
