Lantic is currently recruiting for the position of Scheduler / Distribution Assistant based at our New Toronto facility. The position reports to the Eastern Logistics Manager. The incumbent is responsible for inventory, scheduling orders, shipping and other tasks associated with the optimization of processes within the Operations department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Schedule daily outbound appointments for customers “bulk and liquid” and outbound appointments for customers “packaging”;
- Review/revise processes where necessary - maple;
- Participate in physical inventory stock taking;
- Provide current status of the maple inventory as required and scheduling of maple orders;
- Assist with ensuring inventory is sufficiently maintained and protected while in storage ;
- Maintain proper filing of maple and sugar BOLs;
- Monitor shipments for both sugar and maple shortages and maintain communication with customer service rep and/ or scheduler;
- Enter actual weights into Shipment Schedule daily;
- Review and make suggestion on the arrangement and storage of maple products;
- Maintain KPIs and report on performance of the operation
- Schedule inbound transfer deliveries after 3pm, follow up with Carriers/dispatch for update on ETA for all undelivered loads.
- Manage customer/product returns, organic sugar receiving, organic sugar lot and close to expiry products weekly.
- Review inventory and inform CSR Team of any potential shortage.

**Vacation coverage**:

- Manage dispatching of bulk and liquid loads/orders and transfers to Blending and Montreal;
- Resolve of shipping and transfer error/transfer bill back;
- Payroll;
- Redpath exchange order processing;
- Cargo Flo reception, transfers, and order processing;
- Basic Invoicing and purchasing;
- Damages, updating inventory Navision.

**Qualifications and professional experience required**:

- College Diploma or equivalent;
- University Degree in a related field, an asset;
- 3 years experience in logistics and supply chain management;
- Experience in the trucking industry, an asset;
- ERP (Navision), WMS, Microsoft Office suite;
- English proficiency (spoken and written);
- Clear communication; Customer service abilities;
- Learning agility and autonomy;
- Sense of responsibility and dedication
