Accounting clerk

**Job Description**:

- Ensure proper recording of daily cash inflows and outflows
- Ensure proper recording of journal entries
- Review Purchase Orders and Invoices for accuracy and proper GL coding
- Process Resident refunds
- Process cheque deposits using deposit edge
- Record Resident meal credits
- Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Process payments on company credit card, ensure entries are posted and reconcile on a monthly basis
- Prepare monthly HST returns
- Post monthly recurring entries

outstanding customer service to internal and external clients
- Administrative duties as required
- Prepare adhoc reports and data analyses as required

Experience and education
- Post-secondary education with concentration in business and accounting
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Strong knowledge of Excel is required
- High level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to learn quickly
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for success in this role
- Experience working in a fast-paced and high volume environment
