Accounts Payable Administrator

ALTRA is seeking an Accounting Clerk to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting requirements. If you are a confident multi-tasker who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focussed environment, then this job may be a good fit for you.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide accounting support to the accounting department
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Posting and entering data accurately
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Daily posting of key data of financial transactions in database
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Reconcile/validate, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Other administration tasks that will arise from time to time
- Regularly update job-related knowledge
**Qualification & Requirements**
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Possess analytical thinking
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Well organized and fast learner
- Associate’s degree or relevant certification required
- Experience in QuickBooks required
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
