**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Prepare ingredients for meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food served.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.
**Skills**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in the culinary field.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
