**THE OPPORTUNITY - WELLNESS SERVICES PRACTITIONER (Full Time; Monday - Friday)**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**
- Facilitating the connection of persons with disabilities to be actively engaged in the community through meaningful activities that increase their overall wellbeing. This may include such activities as: volunteerism, recreational and leisure pursuits, life-long learning and civic engagement
- Connecting persons with disabilities to community organizations and opportunities to gain self-determination and decision-making skills
- Assisting persons with disabilities in building relationships and natural supports in the community
- Provide coverage to Canmore team as needed (reimbursement available for mileage)

**WHAT YOU BRING**
We are looking to engage team members with diverse skills, experiences and interests. These are some of the competencies and credentials we are looking for:

- Diploma and/or Degree in Community Rehabilitation, Disability Studies or a related social science
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with persons with disabilities or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
- A vehicle and Class 5 Drivers License is mandatory
- Well developed and effective communication skills (written and oral)
- Effective emergency management
- Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism aligned with Vecova values
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all Vecova team members
- Represent Vecova in a professional manner
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative and enthusiasm
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Demonstrate a high level of administrative and IT capacity
